Comfort through Design
Astir improves and maintains the quality of life for cancer patients by creating a non-invasive cancer treatment device and platform.
The Comfort through Design ideology influenced the design of Astir by prioritizing accessibility, human factors, and aesthetic appeal, resulting in a sleek and intuitive design that promotes a sense of calm and comfort for cancer patients.

From unboxing to life-saving
Packaging of Astir aims to provide an accessible experience for those who have limited mobility. Our packaging follows universal design principles, allowing patients to open the package with limited hand or wrist movement.

Step by step guidance to recovery
The Astir platform offers real-time guidance and support to motivate patients to adhere to their treatment plans while providing valuable insights to both patients and healthcare providers.

Regaining control, stir the ship your way
Astir empowers patients to make informed decisions and receive assistance in initiating their daily treatment at a time and in a manner that suits their needs. This intelligent feature enables you to take control of your treatment schedule and ensures minimal interruption when you are occupied with essential activities.

Human-Centered Innovation
Our approach focused on understanding the challenges cancer patients face and developing solutions that prioritize their quality of life while delivering effective treatment.
By leveraging Tumor-Treating Fields technology, we aimed to create a non-invasive solution that could be integrated into patients' daily lives, maintaining their autonomy throughout the treatment journey.

The most disturbing part of traditional cancer treatment isn't the physical symptoms you will experience, it is the complete lack of certainty and the loss of autonomy that can make many cancer victims give up.

Industry Recognition
Astir's innovative approach to cancer treatment has garnered recognition from leading industry experts. The project received the Red Dot Design Award for excellence in design innovation and human-centered approach to medical technology, as well as the Indigo Design Award for outstanding contribution to medical device design and patient care improvement.
Astir represents a fundamental shift in cancer care, empowering patients to maintain their quality of life while undergoing treatment. By combining innovative technology with thoughtful design, we're creating a future where cancer treatment doesn't mean putting life on hold.
